To celebrate RMHOC’s community of women, over 240 guests filled the Velvet Rose Event Center in Orange, CA. Sisterhood Brunch & Boutique was a morning filled with fun, food, shopping and inspiration! Guests were treated to a flower bouquet bar, complimentary eyebrow touch-ups and mimosas from Billion Dollar Beauty, brunch and coffee, and a specially curated boutique of 32 artisanal vendors to shop from. Opening remarks were given by Ronald McDonald House Charities® Southern California CEO Fatima Djelmane Rodriguez with inspiring words shared by RMHOC Development Manager and alumni mother, Narleen Kristel N. DePauw: “Sisterhood is inspired by our amazing bond as mothers of the House […and] the loving women of the House and Family Room programs who always welcomed us with the comfort and support that we needed to get through our toughest days […] and the generous board members and donors who compassionately give so much of their time or treasure so that mothers like me can call RMHOC our ‘second home.’”
Guests enjoyed a bountiful brunch while hearing about their experiences and the impact RMHOC has made in the lives of our panel: alumni mothers Delanie Loera and Randa Perry, Ronald McDonald Family Room® volunteers Sally Field and Pam Krey, and RMHOC Director of Operations, Katie Russell.
By the afternoon, Development Director Ruth Wu challenged attendees to raise enough to become Adopt-A-Room sponsors (annual sponsors with a naming opportunity) – of which, they did! $7,500 of the support raised at Sisterhood’s Hearts for the House fundraiser will go towards a Sisterhood Class of 2024 Adopt-A-Room sponsorship!
