About Ronald McDonald House® Los Angeles
Since opening its doors in 1980, Ronald McDonald House® Los Angeles has helped families stay close to their child’s medical care and navigate the challenges that come with hospitalization. As the third Ronald McDonald House in the world and the first built from the ground up, Ronald McDonald House® Los Angeles helped shape what this global network of support could become. For more than 45 years, over 35,000 families from around the world have found a place to rest after long hospital days, share warm meals, access essential resources, and connect with a community that understands.
Today, Ronald McDonald House® Los Angeles welcomes up to 75 families each night, helping ease the practical and emotional burdens that can come with a child’s care. By supporting the whole family, from caregivers to siblings, we help families stay together, feel strengthened, and remain present throughout their child’s care.
