Ronald McDonald House® Bakersfield gives families a place to rest, recharge, and stay close to their child’s medical care. Families have access to private guest rooms, warm meals, laundry facilities, shared kitchens, communal gathering spaces, outdoor areas, Wi-Fi, and other everyday essentials that make an extended stay away from home a little easier.
Ronald McDonald House® Bakersfield works closely with medical partners across Kern County to connect families with a place to stay while their child receives care. Through our referral process, our team can understand each family’s needs and determine eligibility and availability for their stay.

Caring for families means supporting the whole family. Family Support Services (FSS) extend our continuum of care through therapeutic activities, meaningful connections, and resources that help families feel supported and strengthened throughout their journey. These professionals are available to families both onsite and in person, as well as by phone and video, ensuring families can access the support, guidance, and resources they need in the way that works best for them.
