Our Programs

Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times offers cost-free, medically supervised sleep-away camp experiences for children with cancer and their families. Camp is available to children who have or have had cancer, whether on or off treatment, from infancy through age 26, with sessions designed for different ages and stages. Depending on the session, siblings, parents and caregivers can experience Camp, too.

With programs offered throughout the year, families can find opportunities to experience Camp together, while children, teens and young adults can participate in sessions created just for them.

Explore our Camp Sessions

Family Camp brings children with cancer, siblings, parents and caregivers together for a weekend to experience Camp as a family. All first-time families begin with Family Camp, regardless of their children’s ages. Families can continue attending until their patient camper turns 12, when campers transition to Summer Camp and families age out of the program.

Four Family Camp sessions are offered each year — two in the spring and two in the fall — with families able to attend one session per year. Sessions run from Friday afternoon through Sunday afternoon, with programming provided in English and Spanish.

Throughout the weekend, families have opportunities to relax, play and spend meaningful time together while connecting with other families who understand the realities of childhood cancer. It’s a chance for every member of the family to experience Camp, build friendships and create memories together.

Summer Camp welcomes children with cancer and their siblings beginning at age 9 through high school graduation. Four six-day, five-night sessions are offered each summer, giving campers the opportunity to experience sleep-away Camp alongside peers their age.

From archery and fishing to arts and crafts, sports and Camp traditions, activities give campers opportunities to try new things, explore their interests and build confidence along the way. Programs are designed so every camper can participate, regardless of treatment or ability, and experience all that Camp has to offer.

Winter WOLP, part of Camp’s Wilderness Outdoor Leadership Program, brings teen campers together for a four-day, three-night winter Camp experience. Open to patients and siblings ages 16 through high school graduation, the session builds on the friendships and traditions of Camp while creating space for teens to explore who they are and what comes next.

Through Camp activities and programming focused on leadership, independence and personal growth, WOLP helps teens build confidence, strengthen life skills and connect with a community of peers as they prepare for the transition into adulthood.

AYA Camp welcomes young adults who have or have had cancer, from high school graduation through age 28, for a four-day, three-night experience created specifically for this stage of life.

As campers move into adulthood, AYA Camp combines traditional Camp activities with workshops and experiences focused on building independence, strengthening life skills and connecting participants with resources they can carry beyond Camp. Young adults choose from activities and workshops throughout the weekend, giving them opportunities to explore their interests, grow in confidence and connect with peers who understand the experience of navigating cancer as a young adult.

Reunion Family Camp welcomes families who have aged out of traditional Family Camp back for a weekend together. Designed for families whose children have transitioned into Summer Camp, the session gives the whole family an opportunity to return, reconnect with the Camp community and experience Camp together again.
