Ronald McDonald House® Long Beach gives families a place to rest, recharge, and stay close to their child’s medical care. Families have access to private guest rooms, warm meals, laundry facilities, shared kitchens, communal gathering spaces, outdoor areas, Wi-Fi, and other everyday essentials that make an extended stay away from home a little easier.
Stays at Ronald McDonald House® Long Beach begin with a referral from a hospital social worker or authorized healthcare professional. Families cannot self–refer.
Families may be eligible when their child is receiving inpatient or outpatient pediatric medical care at a partnering medical facility. Once a referral is received, our team will connect directly with the family to review eligibility, availability, and next steps.
Please note: A referral does not guarantee a room. Accommodations are based on eligibility, medical need, and current House availability.

Caring for families means supporting the whole family. Family Support Services (FSS) extend our continuum of care through therapeutic activities, meaningful connections, and resources that help families feel supported and strengthened throughout their journey. These professionals are available to families both onsite and in person, as well as by phone and video, ensuring families can access the support, guidance, and resources they need in the way that works best for them.
