When a child needs lifesaving medical care, families need a place to stay close. Ronald McDonald House® Westside Los Angeles, a core program of Ronald McDonald House Southern California, serves as an oasis of calm for families whose children are receiving life-saving medical treatment at local Westside hospitals, located in the heart of Westwood Village.
Our House provides comfort, care, and support to families who need a safe, welcoming place to stay at no cost while their child is receiving medical treatment at a local hospital. More than a place to stay, our House is a community where families can remain close to one another and to the medical care their child needs. We strive to create an environment where children and their families can embrace each day with hope, courage, enthusiasm, and joy, surrounded by the compassion and support of a caring community.
In 2025, we achieved a significant milestone by temporarily opening the Second Floor – Phase One. This advancement allowed us the ability to serve up to 11 families at a time, providing a true home-away-from-home for as many as 40 individuals during some of the most challenging moments of their lives, helping them access life-saving pediatric care while remaining close to their children. This temporary floor will remain open while we work toward our fundraising goal to begin construction of the full 33-room House, enabling us to continue supporting families today, while preparing to welcome many more in the future.
Our Heart Behind the House Campaign is raising the funds needed to transform our Westside House into a fully renovated, 33-room Ronald McDonald House, serving more than 200 families each year.
